For TurboChat.Work Web App

How we handle data for free users:

  • All user data, including API keys, chat history, and chat messages, is stored locally on the user's browser using Local Storage.
  • TurboChat operates as a static website and does not have a backend server to collect data on the server side.
  • When a user sends a message on TurboChat, the website sends a request to OpenAI API endpoints using the provided API key.
  • Requests are securely sent from the user's browser to OpenAI's server using the HTTPS protocol. There are no intermediary servers involved, ensuring the privacy and security of the requests and responses.
  • There is strictly no external JavaScript run on TurboChat.work.

How we handle data for paid users:

The privacy policy for paid users remains the same as for free users, with the following additional points:

  • When a user purchases a license key, their email address and license key are stored in our database. This information is used to send the license key and verify its authenticity when used on TurboChat.work.
  • When a user enters the license key to unlock paid features, TurboChat.work sends a request from the user's browser to our License Server to verify the license key and retrieve the relevant information about the license key's owner for display within the app.
  • Users will receive email notifications about new features and updates when a new version of TurboChat.work is available. It is possible to unsubscribe from these email notifications at any time.

Third-party services we use on TurboChat.work:

  • Vercel.com is used for website hosting.
  • Vercel Analytics by Vercel.com collects anonymous analytics data, such as the number of daily visitors, from TurboChat.work.
  • Google Analytics collects web analytics data, similar to Vercel Analytics but more detailed.
  • Sentry by Sentry.io collects anonymous crash logs and error reports from the TurboChat application. This information is utilized to enhance the app's performance and address any bugs or issues.
  • Lemonsqueezy.com is employed for payment processing of TurboChat's premium features. No payment data is stored by TurboChat.

For TurboChat Sync

  • TurboChat Sync is an opt-in only service provided by TurboChat to facilitate convenient sharing of chat conversations with friends via a publicly accessible link on the internet. Additional features include chat history synchronization between devices and chat history backup.
  • TurboChat Sync is integrated into TurboChat.work and will only function when the Share/Sync feature is explicitly used, with TurboChat Sync selected as the Share/Sync option. Users will be prompted to opt-in to TurboChat Sync.
  • Note that users have the option to use alternative services for sharing and synchronizing their chats. TurboChat Sync is just one of the available options and is not mandatory.
  • When you share your chats using TurboChat Sync, we store the shared chat conversations on our server. These chats become publicly accessible on the internet through a secret link, which may be indexed by search engines.
  • We only store the chats that you choose to share. We do not store any other data on TurboChat Sync's server, such as API Keys, License Keys, or other chats.
  • If you enable TurboChat Sync for Sync and Backup, we will store all of your chats, messages, characters, model settings, sync settings, keyboard shortcuts, plugins, and favorites on the TurboChat Sync server. All communication with the TurboChat Sync server is encrypted using HTTPS, and all of your data is securely stored on our cloud database. The data is also encrypted at rest.
  • If you enable TurboChat Sync for Sync and Backup, we will use a Local Storage to store your state, allowing for seamless synchronization.

Your Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. It is TurboChat's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://turbochat.work, and other sites we own and operate.

We only collect personal information when it is necessary to provide a service to you. We collect this information through fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also inform you of the purpose of collecting the information and how it will be used.
